Educational exhibit Prints for Peace 2011





Artists participating in the Educational exhibit Prints for Peace Mexico.
These artists presented their Prints for Peace 2011 and an artist proof in May at Centro Cultural Arquitectura UANL. The final prints will also be exhibited at Prints for Peace 2011 at Arte AC from June 22 to July 30 2011.

Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz Mexican poet


This is a linoleum print about Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz by Guadalupe Victorica. The name of the print is "Hablame con los ojos" "Talk to me with your eyes" a line from one of her poems.
Sor Juana was a Mexican religious women poet born in 1671. She was a fierce defender of women´s write to education.

Hondurean Migrant waitting for train to head north to the US





This Person Migrant was filmed by Tin Dirdamal at Orizaba Veracruz leaving one of the more than 30 Migrant Shelters run by non-governmental organizations in México. Tin Dirdamal is the director of many times award winning Documentary De Nadie 2005, among them Sundance Audience Award 2006 and Mexican Ariel 2006 best Documentary.
